Ministry in Jamaica offers a variety of opportunities for teams to serve. Teams can participate in Sports Ministry, hosting camps for activities like baseball, soccer, basketball, and volleyball. Community Ministry includes feeding programs, medical outreach, community walks, and park ministries to help those in need while sharing the gospel. Church Ministry allows teams with creative talents to lead worship, puppet shows, and drama sketches, helping to draw others to Christ. Additionally, Children’s Ministry provides opportunities through Vacation Bible Schools, school ministries, and park ministries.
Jamaica is an island nation located in the Caribbean Sea, south of Cuba and west of Haiti. Known for its vibrant culture, music, and stunning natural beauty, Jamaica is also home to a rich history. SCORE has missionaries based in Morant Bay, located on the southeastern corner of Jamaica, about 30 miles east of Kingston. Morant Bay is the capital of St. Thomas Parish, the poorest parish in the country. The area is known for its beautiful mountains, beaches, and abundant fruit trees, with SCORE missionaries focusing on community outreach, education, and church support in the region. Teams are generally scheduled to serve in Jamaica between January and March, and again from July through October.

Weather: Jamaica enjoys a tropical climate with warm temperatures year-round. The island experiences a wet season from May to November, with the heaviest rainfall during this time, and a dry season from December to April. Temperatures typically range from 77°F to 88°F, making it a year-round destination for warm weather.
