Tim & Cathy Collins

Jamaica

Tim and Cathy were born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Tim graduated from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) with BS in Finance and he also graduated from the Stonier School of Banking.  Cathy attended UTC as well. Our sending church is Falling Water Baptist Church located in Hixson, Tennessee.  Tim worked in the banking industry for 30 plus years and Cathy worked in office/accounting jobs for 20 years before becoming a homemaker. They have a son and a daughter, Eric and Jill.

Cathy has been a short-term missionary to Jamaica since 2005.  Tim joined Cathy on a short-term Jamaica trip in 2013. Both have been serving in Jamaica from that point forward.  Since 2018 they have been living approximately 6 months per year in Jamaica teaching pastors and church leaders using the BTCP curriculum, doing annual sports mission camps, discipling youth and reaching children through the schools and churches.  When they are back in Chattanooga, they serve at their home church. No matter where they are, they want to share the Good News about Jesus and edify their brothers and sisters.
