Kristin Ogle Frias
Dominican Republic

My first opportunity to go on a mission trip was in 2009. I went to the Dominican Republic and from that trip I felt God’s call on my life for missions. After that trip my family began the process to become missionaries in the DR. We continued to visit yearly on mission trips. Before moving, I had the opportunity to work along side my sister in the Elementary Office at First Baptist Church of Woodstock. God used that time to prepare me for the mission field and what I would be doing.
I have now been living in the DR since January 2013. Constantly witnessing God’s faithful hand in His ministry in which I am privileged and humbled to be a part. I serve as the Child Sponsorship Coordinator for Emanuel House and Pasitos de Jesus and serve in ministries of the local church in Juan Dolio.
I met my husband, Emilio, in the fall of 2021. Emilio gave his life to Christ in January of 2022. That is when we really got to know each other as he began attending church. Emilio asked if there were any of us young adults that got together and hung out as he no longer wanted to hang with those he once did as he wanted to grow in the faith. From there is when we began hanging out as a group of 5-8 young adults. In June of 2022, is when Emilio spoke with my dad about his feelings and intentions with me. In May of 2023 he asked me to marry him, and then March 23, 2024 we got married. I can honestly say neither one of us expected or even thought of beginning a relationship but God definitely wove our paths and is making a beautiful story and testimony out of our lives together. God is good and faithful and we will forever cling to Him as He truly is our strength and firm foundation!
