Kristin Ogle
Dominican Republic
I grew up in the Tri-Cities, TN and was reared in a Christian home. At the age of 9 I realized I was a sinner in need of a Savior. I prayed and asked God to forgive me of my sins. I knew that He had sent His one and only perfect son to die on a cross, and He rose from the dead three days later. A few weeks later I was baptized. As I grew older I understood what a relationship with Him meant and how to surrender my life completely. From then I began serving in the children’s program in my church.
My first opportunity to go on a mission trip was in 2009. I went to the Dominican Republic and from that trip I felt God’s call on my life for missions. After that trip my family began the process to become missionaries in the DR. We continued to visit yearly on mission trips. Before moving, I had the opportunity to work along side my sister in the Elementary Office at First Baptist Church of Woodstock. God used that time to prepare me for the mission field and what I would be doing.
I have now been living in the DR since January 2013. Constantly witnessing God’s faithful hand in His ministry in which I am privileged and humbled to be a part. I serve as the Child Sponsorship Coordinator for Emanuel House and Pasitos de Jesus and serve in ministries of the local church in Juan Dolio.
