Jay Mike Johnson

Jay Michael Johnson was born in Alabama but raised in the Tampa Bay area. He became a Christian at the age of 7 years old at a Vacation Bible School. He attended Samford University where he majored in Business Management and double concentrated in Sports Marketing and Professional Sales. Jay Michael recently graduated from the University of South Florida with his MBA and has worked for companies such as adidas, Topgolf, and the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The summer before Jay Michael’s 6th grade year is when he took his first mission trip with SCORE to the Dominican Republic and he hasn’t stopped going back since. Jay Michael has led and served on trips to the Dominican Republic, Panama, Eutaw, and Chattanooga. He has spent time as a SCORE intern in the Dominican Republic and during that time founded an organization called New Hope Ministries. New Hope Ministries partners with Score Missionaries Robersy and Sarah Lara to help players from their baseball ministry attend a private school call Mi Hogar Feliz in San Pedro.

Jay Michael has a passion to reach people for the Gospel, raise them up in discipleship, and release them to serve in Gospel driven ministry. He currently lives in Tampa, FL where he is an Advisor for Water Walker Investments. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching his brother’s Little League baseball team and serving at his church, South Tampa Fellowship. He is excited about working with groups who share his desire to preach the gospel!
