Eduard & Katya Dolgykh

Pre-Apprentices

Eduard: I was raised in a small town in Ukraine in a family without a strong father figure. At twelve years old, I became a shepherd to goats, a responsibility that shaped my character and became the foundation of my leadership. Caring for what was entrusted to me taught me discipline, initiative, and responsibility.

I first heard the gospel at a children’s camp. It took me couple of years to examine my life and the claims of Christ. That process led to a decisive commitment to follow Jesus.

When I was sixteen, my family immigrated to Colorado. There, I became  involved in ministry, serving in youth ministry and preaching. The Lord allowed me to participate in multiple short-term mission trips to Mexico and Russia, experiences that strengthened my conviction that the gospel is God’s power to transform lives across cultures. During this season, I met Katya, who now serves alongside me in ministry.

I am passionate about investing in men and calling them to growth, maturity, and responsibility. I believe that strong men produce strong families, strong churches, and strong communities. This conviction drives my ministry.

Together, we are preparing to serve in San José, Costa Rica. Our calling is to partner with a local church and actively advance the Kingdom of God through the clear proclamation of the gospel and intentional discipleship.

Katya: I was born in Kharkov, Ukraine, and raised in a Christian home. When my family immigrated to the United States at age seven, I grew up hearing how my parents remained faithful to Jesus despite persecution. Their example deeply shaped my faith.

At twelve years old, I began to understand what a personal relationship with Jesus truly meant. During a church conference altar call, I felt God calling me to fully surrender my life to Him. Since then, I have had a strong desire to serve the church, especially children, teens, and young women.

At nineteen, I went on a missionary trip to Russia where I met my husband, Eduard. God united our hearts, and we were married the following year. Today, we serve in our local church and continually pray for God to use our family according to His will.

We are blessed with two children, Liana and Maxim (Max), who are a great joy to us. I have a heart for discipling young women, working with teens, and caring for orphans. Above all, my desire is to serve the Lord wherever He leads and to support my husband faithfully in his calling.
