Ashley Faulkenberry
Closed Country
Ashley grew up in the church and was called to serve overseas as a young child. She is passionate about music, baking, learning languages, and aerial hoop. For four years Ashley served overseas as a teacher in a closed country. During that time, the Lord prepared her to move and serve in another closed country.
Since moving, Ashley has been training English teachers in this very poor country. However, as the Lord has been teaching Ashley about life with Autism, He has been growing her passion for neurodiversity and mental health education. The longer she lives in this country, the more she sees the need for the people of this country to learn about neurodiversity education and mental health. Currently, she is volunteering with autistic students, educating university students on mental health, and consulting with a local school to help educate their students and teachers on neurodiversity and mental health and assist the school with accommodating students with Autism, ADHD, etc.
Ashley is so thankful for how the Lord continues to use her here and all of the relationships He has given her. She is excited to see how the Lord continues to use her passion for neurodiversity and mental health education to help the people of this country.
