Seba & Anna Medina

Dominican Republic – Apprentice

Seba grew up in La Represa, Dominican Republic. He was born into a home that did not know Christ, but at 14, He surrendered his life to Him and chose to live for His glory. Baseball had been his passion since he was eight, but at 15, a local missionary introduced him to surfing. That day, God placed a deep love for surfing in his heart, and He began to understand that God had a different plan for his life. Seba began attending Bible studies with young people in his community, which eventually became a Christian Surfers chapter. Seba quickly started serving with mission teams that would come to La Represa as a translator, and soon after was asked to join the ministry staff.

Anna grew up in small towns in Tennessee and accepted Christ as her Savior and Lord during her first semester of college through a local college ministry. She very quickly fell in love with serving through many ministries and missions through her local church, New Vision Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She went on her first mission trip to La Represa in the Spring of 2023 with that same college ministry. On this trip, she fell in love with the community and culture and felt the Lord calling her there, though she didn’t understand how at the time.

Seba and Anna met in 2023 on her first trip to La Represa and became friends. After some time, they entered into a long-distance relationship for the next 2 1⁄2 years. Over those next couple of years, the Lord continued to reveal his desire and plans to both Seba and Anna through internships/jobs, locally serving in their churches, and tons of prayer. Soon after Anna graduated from college, she moved to the La Represa, where she and Seba got married. Seba now serves as the Digital Communications Coordinator for the Como Arboles Ministry in La Represa. He also leads the local chapter of Christian Surfers in La Represa, where he disciples teenage boys and young men in their faith weekly. Anna is going through her apprentice year through SCORE International, which allows her to spend time working in every part of the Como Arboles Ministry to learn and grow before going full-time. The Lord has laid a special desire on Anna’s heart to work with young children, education, and to grow awareness of fundamental skills for parents and young children. Together, they serve in their local church and are excited to see how the Lord continues to work in their lives and family.
