Fernanda is the middle child of her siblings Fernando and Fernanda. She and her sister did not grow up in Josiah’s House after their mother passed like Fernando, but we invited them to join Hope Continues Program for young adults because they were never able to attend a university. Fernanda is now attending a University in Santo Domingo for Culinary Arts to become a certified Chef. She is already an amazing cook and shares her gift with our mission teams that visit Josiah’s House. She is kind, responsible, and loves the Lord. Someday we believe she will open her own restaurant. We love having Fernanda with us!
The Josiah’s House Hope Continues program supports young men and women 18 years old and older. The program helps them with basic living expenses as well as keeps spiritual and emotional support in place while they finish high school. It also hopes to help them seek scholarships, jobs, and financial aid so they can further their education in a university or technical college if they desire.
