Apprentice – Dominican Republic
We are more than grateful to be able to share with you part of our story. From our start, the way that God guided us with His powerful hand throughout the years, the birth of our son and the different ministries in which God has placed us.
It was the Lord’s plan that we met at church (John 3:16). God showed us that we were made for each other. We have served the Lord in various ministries individually, but since we got married 6 years ago, we have been serving the Lord as a couple in different areas and ministries both in the local church, baseball chaplain for professional baseball players with the baseball chapel ministry and with the ministry at Lily House. The Lord has also given us the strength to serve Him during all these years in the ministry of worship, youth group, VBS, and evangelism among others (Jeremiah 29:11).
For the past 7 years, Joseymi has been part of the leadership team at Lily House Ministry, where he serves as business manager for Plaza Leche y Miel and trains the girls in the professional area. Katerina currently works with the Lily House Ministry, working directly with women and teenagers, helping them with their physical, emotional and most importantly spiritual needs. By the grace of God, we make it a joy in our hearts, for being useful to our God and Savior, thus serving for His glory and honor.
After praying and consulting with other leaders, we have decided to obey the call (Isaiah 6:8) that God has placed on us and to which He had predestined us, to use us as an instrument for His glory, to minister in the lives of young people and teenagers, preaching His word and discipling the new generation (Matthew 28:19).
On this long journey, God has blessed us (Psalm 63:3-4) greatly with the birth of our son Ian Gabriel. Ian is now almost two years old and has been a gift from God whom we love immensely. God has also provided us with great friends and family in Christ whom He has used to encourage and cheer us on in difficult times (Psalm 28:7).
For this and many more reasons, we have decided as a family to dedicate our lives to the service of the Lord full time (1 Corinthians 10:31) to tell others what He has done, what He is doing and what He will continue to do in our lives. We had a custom during our vacations to work with groups at Score International and this year God confirmed our call to full time missions (Acts 1:8).
With our hearts filled with gratitude and joy with our Heavenly Father, we continue forward in this calling that God has entrusted to us. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all (Philippians 4:23).
