Kristi was raised in a Christian home, accepted Christ at a young age, and was baptized in middle school as she understood what it meant to follow Christ with her entire life. She developed a love for ministry through the years while serving and working in various ministries at New Vision Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
After growing up with a stepfather in the Army and living in four different states, Kristi never dreamed of moving away from her family. That changed on her first trip to La Represa in 2009. She felt at home in the community and later realized her desire to live there was a calling from God. In 2013, she moved there with her best friend to serve with the children and youth at the church and schools. She worked alongside a team of missionaries for three and a half years before moving back to Tennessee for rest and quality time with her growing family.
Alejandro was raised in La Represa in a Christian home, grew up going to church often, and decided to follow Christ when he was 11. He grew up helping his dad build homes and his mom cook and clean, and his dream was to be a pitcher in the MLB. He loves baseball, animals, and adventurous hikes in the mountains. He and Kristi met while she was on a mission trip in 2010, and their close friendship and intentional relationship started after she moved to La Represa.
After a year of a long-distance relationship, Alejandro and Kristi were reunited and married in April 2018. Together they enjoy playing games, watching movies, and going to the river with their German Shepherd named Mowgli. Alejandro leads the youth sports ministry as the baseball coach, and Kristi manages child sponsorships and the children’s ministry. They also lead mission teams and are leaders at the local church plant, and they are grateful to serve together in the community they love.
