Missionary
I grew up in the Tri-Cities area in TN and was reared in a Christian home. At the age of 9 I realized I was a sinner in need of a Savior. I prayed and asked God to forgive me of my sins. I knew He sent His one and only perfect son to die on a cross and He rose from the dead three days later to save me. A few weeks later I was baptized. As I grew older I began to see what a relationship with Him is and how to surrender my all. I began serving in the children’s program in my church.
I had the opportunity to go on my first mission trip in 2009. I went to the Dominican Republic and from that trip I felt God’s call on my life for missions. After that trip my family began the process to become missionaries in the DR. We continued to visit yearly on mission trips. During this time I had the opportunity to visit and work along side one of my sisters in the Elementary Office at First Baptist Church of Woodstock. I have seen how God used that time to prepare me for the mission field and what I would be doing.
I have now been living in the DR since January 2013. I have witnessed God’s faithful hand in His ministry in which I am privileged and humbled to be a part. I work along side short term mission teams helping with translation, take care of missionary children, and serve in the children and youth ministries in the local church in Juan Dolio.
