Missionary, Lily House
I grew up in church learning about the Lord, accepted the Gospel for myself by accepting Christ as my Savior at summer camp at age 11, and from a young age connected with God’s heart for the nation through missions. I went on my first international mission trip at age 14, followed by 3 domestic trips during high school, a Spring Break trip to the Middle East in college, and a decision to commit my first year after college graduation to missions. That decision is what first led me to the Dominican Republic and Lily House in August 2013 for a 9-month internship. The Lord used that time to re-confirm a calling to career missions, and less than 2 years after returning to the States, I was moving to the field full-time. Since January 2016, I have been serving with Lily House, primarily in the role as House Mom. In January 2021, I transitioned into a different ministry role, working more closely with our national director in our training center during the day. Whether it’s continuing to help with crisis situations, discipleship, leading workshops, helping with social media/technology, or running errands, I am passionate about the work God is doing in the lives of women, teens, and children at Lily House, and grateful to be a part of this ministry and the larger SCORE International family!
