Missionary, GAP Year
Brandon grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania where he attended church with his grandparents from a young age. God saved him in his freshman year of high school and he began attending and leading youth group activities in church and school. In 2011 Brandon went to Costa Rica to visit his best friend and mentor who were both working with the GAP Program. While there, God opened up his eyes to the fact that at the time he was living for himself and for money and that it was time to turn that around and live for the Lord.
Brandon came to Costa Rica as a student in the GAP Program in the year 2012-13. God took away any anxiety from the decision, giving him a calm assurance to attend the program. Ever since then God has put a passion in his heart to use what he has learned to pour into the incoming students in Costa Rica for years to come. He is currently serving alongside Andy Gordley as the Assistant Director to the GAP Program in San Jose, Costa Rica. Brandon also serves as a leader in a church plant in the town of Tirrases where they have seen the hand of God moving in many ways.
Samantha also grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and was saved at a young age. God put missions on her heart during her high school years, and she decided to attend the GAP Program in the year 2015-16. God used the GAP year to reveal himself to her even more, and she learned to love the country, people and everything God was doing through the GAP program.
God brought Samantha the whole way from twenty minutes down the street to a foreign country so that she and Brandon could meet and fall in love. They were married in July of 2017, and are now serving together as leaders in the GAP Year Program as well as in the church plant in Tirrases. They plan on serving there until the Lord calls them elsewhere.
