Esther was raised in Syracuse, NY in a Christian home where she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at 4 years of age. As she continued to grow she realized she needed to make her faith her own and not rely on those around her. After her freshman year at SUNY Cortland she moved to St. Louis and experienced God’s unconditional love on a deeper level. This planted the seed to get involved in ministry. When she discovered Youth With A Mission (YWAM) she completed the Compassion Discipleship Training School in 2015 where she had 3 months of outreach in Australia, Malaysia, and Thailand. It was during this time she heard the Lord call her to full-time missions. In order to get a more firm foundation she completed another training school through YWAM – the school of biblical foundations. This school spent 3 months going through the Bible chronologically with an emphasis on both inductive study and personal application. The travel during this school included biblical sites in Israel, Turkey, and Greece where the Bible truly came to life. With renewed passion Esther returned to Syracuse, NY to serve both domestically and internationally.
She believes that because the Bible is so accessible in America and other 1st world countries it has been talked about, over and through which can cause it to become “white noise.”. She wants to make sure God’s love doesn’t lose it’s impact. She has a deeper appreciation for this as she continues to serve overseas and in areas where God’s Word has not been spread as openly. It is her prayer she will emulate her life verse and reach others physically and spiritually the way she has been blessed.
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
– Matthew 5:16
