We call ourselves “Team Bueno” because we are more than a family, we are serving Jesus together. Marianella and David are originally from Uruguay in South America. We landed as full time missionaries in Panama back in July of 2010. The day after we arrived in Panama, we started the first Kids Bible Club in Chepo. Since then, our ministries include Kids Bible Club, coaching sports, discipling, teaching the Bible to men and women, loving on teenage moms, and feeding the homeless. Panama became our “to the end of the earth!”
In February of 2018, the Campos came from Uruguay to partner with us and join the ministry. Mariela and Gonzalo become a great addition to our team, and now we are “Team Buenos-Campos”. Our goal is to reach a kid, so we can reach their family, and this is our way to reach our world! We are trying to be the face, the hands, and the feet of Jesus in Panama. We are sharing the love of Jesus with our words and we hope, most of all, with our actions.
The coronavirus pandemic has kept us at home during our 10th year of hosting groups through SCORE International. We are in a season of virtual zoom meetings and finding ways to help the people we love out in the streets and the villages. Many people ask us how to help and here are three ways to partner with us:
- Pray! You are holding our arms fighting the battle on the mission field. Days are blessed but some are not easy, so we always thank the prayers in our favor. Please pray for unity, good health, and open doors to share the love of Jesus.
- Plan a trip to Panama! While the pandemic has currently closed many countries’ borders, this will too come to an end! We are praying for groups to come and help us to continue to share the love of Jesus in Panama. Read about trips to Panama by clicking here: https://scoreintl.org/trips/panama/
- Give! We have two big projects you can be a part of: feeding families in need during this pandemic ($10 feed a family) or help us bring kids to summer camp (January 2021, $75 pays for 1 kid to go to summer camp).
